Coates blames media for poor Suarez treatment

Liverpool’s, Sebastian Coates has gone on to blast the English media and has claimed that they were rather unfair in their treatment of Luis Suarez, during his trial over the Patrice Evra incident.
Earlier in the season, Suarez was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 in a Premier League game and as a result, the player was eventually banned for eight games.
On his return to the squad, he was once again the subject of a lot of criticism, after the forward went on to snub a hand shake with the defender, prior to the start of a game between United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
Coates feels that the only reason the player has been subject to so much scrutiny is because the English media is out to get the Uruguayan.
The defender, when talking about the situation is quoted to have said: "So far I haven't experienced anything [in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749] that I didn't like. But, for example, in Luis' case, I saw a lot of things that I didn't care for much. Certain attitudes or declarations
that upset me"

"Luis was given this bad name, and [the press] went out to kill him. A lot of things were said that are not true, and that hurts."
It is currently impossible to agree or disagree with what the centre back is saying. This is because Suarez was at the bottom of a lot of discussions and was criticised heavily, but this is only because of the way he acted with Evra.
The forward went on to racially abuse the French international and those actions were not taken very lightly by anyone.
However, the media did go on and escalate the situation, which made the forward seem like a villain to the public.
Nonetheless, should all of that be left in the past, both the players and both the clubs can move on and look to the future from here on.
Despite that fact, what can be said assuredly, is that the media has way more power than anyone can imagine and even some of the best footballers in the world can’t do anything to fight it.
