Coca-Cola changing the classic bottle shape to obese shape?

I just got a new Sprite, here's a picture of a bottle with same shape.

Are there more obese people now in America so Coke is being politically correct making the "fat" bottle?

That's ridiculous, it just looks more sleek and easier to hold to me.
