Question

I'm going to this nascar race next weekend. i'm driving my parents and a friend sunday morning, and we are driving back tuesday morning. what are some things to look forward to aside from racing?

and friday ganassi and roush have stuff going on at the garages last year i know ganassi had all 3 of his drivers signing stuff and it was  huge line... and giving away free stuff like jackets and tshirts for answering 1 question... waltrip has a big thing that's for the fans at his garage just go to all the garages and check stuff out im headed down wendesday hope to be trashed before thursday and until i leave the concerts are the best thing that's not completely racing but trackside is there to!

You are coming down the day of the race?  Or tomorrow?  Next Friday is the big day.  They shut down Speed St in Uptown and it is a huge NASCAR event.  But, if you don't come down until Sunday you will miss most of the events.  On race day morning, they just have the usual Speed shows at the track.  Not much else.  And, once the race is over, nothing really goes on, either.

As for non-racing things, there is a huge mall about 2 miles from the speedway.  There are tons of things to do in the city of Charlotte.  It depends on what you like to do.  There is everything from museums and exhibits to Carowinds amusement park.  Plus, there is always Mooresville and all of the race shops (well, some are in Concord, Cornelius and Huntersville).  Of course, they are usually pretty crowded around race week.
