How big of a bird carrier should I get for my cockatiel?

Small one and light weight with small enough wire the bird can't get his head caught.

it depends on how far you are going. they usually say you should have enough room for at least two perches. i bought an adorable cage on ebay that is made for cockatiel travel. it has miniature dishes that are deep so they dont spill. it has a built in swing to keep the bird occupied. it has two perches and a second story type shelf thing (lol i dont know how to explain it) but it offers the bird a place to sleep when you put a towel on it. Just make sure your bird has room to move. cockatiels are soooooo playful that they need room to move and dont forget their toys! just look into travel kits. they are dirt cheep on ebay and they are wonderful!
