my cockatiel breeder pair just died and left 3 eggs. what should i do with the eggs? how do i care for them?

  1. If the eggs have been unincubated for more than a couple of hours the chicks area already dead in shell.  If not then you will need to incubate the eggs then hand feed the chicks.  I would recommend contacting a local breeder and asking them to teach you how to handfeed as you can easily kill the chicks if you don't know what you are doing.

    You could get an incubator for the eggs...

    There's nothing to do just bin the eggs as you would need an incubator and then if they hatch you would need to hand raise them and really its a lot of hassle.

  5. I would be more concerned about why 2 birds died at the same time more so than the eggs that will most likely not hatch for you. For one thing, if the parents were sick, theres a good chance that the eggs are infected also. Bacteria can destroy the egg.
