Cockatiel has outgrown skin both sides of beak?

Question

My tiel has blackish hard outgrowth of the skin ..sort of hanging out from the joint of the beak on both sides.

When we applied coconut oil on it ,it fell off the next day but grew back in 2 days.

you should keep applying cocanut butter every day for about a week,make sure to keep him away from any other bird . try changing what he has been eating . mabe it is not best for him to eat it , give him lots of fruits and veggies , good luck

Never heard of that one!!!!! I would think this is not normal and if my vet said it is okay I would seek a second opinion for sure.     Good luck let us know what happens !!!!!
