Cockatiel will not come out of cage. ?

why dont cockatiles want to come out of the cage it starts climing around the cage why is this we can sometimes get him out but not been able to all week.

Is the door big enough for it to notice??

It will come out in it's own time!!while it is climbing round the cage it will find the door the it may try to come out ,but don't force the issue or you may frighten it and when it has to go back then you could have problems.

So just give it time !!!

I hsve a love bird that always comes right out of the cage when we open it and he always wants to play, but we got him when he was just a baby and he was handfed since day two ecouse his parents didnt feed him (he's the runt) Anyway, parents are usually vary social animals and bond to thier owners.  Your bird may not want to play with anyone but the one it bonded with.  Or it could be a matter of trust.  Get some millet spray and put a little in your hand and try to coax him to hop on.  If he eats from you hand, you can continue to do so on a daily basis.  I think that he probobly just needs time
