Cockatoo eggsss?

Question

how big are cockatoo eggs suppoused to be 1 week before they hatch?

how do they look ?

and does the egg grow ?

We have an umbrella cockatoo that keeps laying eggs.  Her little eggs are about half the size of a large egg that you would get at the store.  She has no male bird to fertilize hers so they will never hatch, but I would think they'd stay the same size.

Eggs can not grow. Only the chick inside growns to the size of the egg. You can hold a flash light under the egg in a dark room to see if there is a dark mass inside with a clear pocket on one end. If you hold it to a light and you do not see a dark mass inside then the egg is no good... Good Luck!!!
