I want to get rid of cockroaches, do I have to get sticky traps specifically made for cockroaches, or can I get a generic bug sticky trap?

  1. Ignore all these other answers.... the REAL solution to get rid of cockroaches is to pour kerosene all over every object in the house, then throw a lighted match on the floor.

  2. I have never used combat gel but I've used combat baits and it's the best

  3. The generic will work just as good. Boric acid powder mixed with a little powdered sugar works too.

  4. Combat is the best. You won't see any roaches anytime soon. But remember to change them every three months. You will be pleased with results.

  5. Sticky traps are not very effective, go to a gel, or go to a nursery or hardware store and buy a container of spray, treat the perimeters of all the rooms and under all appliances, under sinks etc. If they are a serious problem you can always set off a couple of Roach "Bombs", all you need to do is cover things/follow instructions. Once under control you can make up your own bait....1 cup of flour, 1 cup of Boric acid and a tablespoon of sugar. Combine dry ingredients, then start adding small amounts of water until it forms a stiff ball. Form 1/2" dia balls, set on wax paper to dry overnight, then place behind appliances, in cupboards etc, they last for years and are VERY effective.

  6. The sticky traps dont really work all that well.  I would recommend the Combat Gel.  You just put it in cracks and crevices and it works wonders.  I live in a trailer part where bugs are always a problem cuz they try to come in from neighbors houses but this keeps them at bay.
