CocoCay, Bahamas beach?

My family (my husband and 2 daughters ages 7 and 15) are going on a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas in June. the cruise starts in Miami and one of the stops is cocoCay, Bahamas. i was wondering what exactly their is to do there with two children. How far away is a nice swimming/relaxing beach from the cruise port. Please give me as much detail/personal experiences. thanks!!!!

  1. Coco Cay is the cruise line's private island.  There will be beach activities and a limited number of "excursions", say taking a boat out to snorkel, etc.  You won't be going beyond the "beach club" type area.
