Cocohatchee, a major player in CGA Racing Excellence Apprentice Handicap at Salisbury
There are plenty of powerful runners in the CGA Racing Excellence Apprentice Handicap, but preference is for Cocohatchee, who will be quite fascinating at Salisbury on Tuesday, June 12th. The officials are set to start the proceedings at 17:35
(GMT).
On soft surface, nearly a dozen quality runners will show their magic in the 6-furlong event. A cash prize of £2,588 is reserved for the ultimate champion.
Among Cocohatchee’s rivals are: Sarangoo, Silenzio, Ibiza Sunset, Whipphound, Homeboy, One Way Or Another, Scarlet Rocks and Dualagi.
Cocohatchee was runner-up behind Ibiza Sunset over 7f at Salisbury last time. CGA Racing Excellence Apprentice Handicap saw Pat Phelan’s charge doing a wonderful job, but despite a fine effort, he missed the top rank by a few lengths. The four-year-old was
pretty impressive in his last two appearances and would require only a bit of luck to do business today.
Out of others, Sarangoo looks to be the strongest candidate. The filly was second in her previous outing last month. In the Betfair Sponsors The Stable Staff Canteen Handicap, the Malcolm Saunders-trained missed the gold medal only by a neck’s distance.
However, she cannot be trusted, since the ground is entirely different this time.
No one should doubt Silenzio’s racing abilities, but the colt is not in good form these days. After completing the order of finish at Kempton, the 4-year-old failed to improve his work and fell seventh at Windsor earlier this month.
Richard Hannon’s trainee has been struggling with his form since the start of this season, thus it will be a brave move to support him today.
According to our calculations, Cocohatchee has the best chance of bagging the winning prize. He has been maintaining the standards since the beginning of the season and looks in awesome position to bang his rivals today.
Salisbury’s soft ground is also going to suit Cocohatchee. Sarangoo and Silenzio are also two major players, but would struggle in the testing conditions.
Everything looks in favour of Cocohatchee and therefore, the punters will not be reluctant to put maximum number of bets on him. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
