Im sure im not the only one hearing a lot of controversial things ao coconut oil... Ive read that your body dosnt process it the same as other fats. That it goes straight to the liver instead of going through and having your body process it and obsorb all the fat content in it...Is this true? Since it contains so much saturated fat how can it possibly be good for you and not give you a tummy? Will using it and consuming it make you fatter or does it slim you down? If anyone knows PLEASE help!!!

:) thanks!

  1. Coconut oil has been consumed by people living in tropical places for thousands of years.  Research shows these people are generally healthy and do not suffer from these modern day diseases of western nations.

Coconut helps keep your blood sugar even throughout the day so you're not craving sweets.  It has also been shown to be an anti-carcinogen, protecting the body from cancer.

Coconut oil provides a source of antimicrobial lipid for individuals with compromised immune systems.

Most negative studies on coconut oil were made using hydrogenated coconut oil that was purposefully altered to make it completely devoid of any essential fatty acids.

Your body needs saturated fat as you a a warm bodied animal.  Saturated fats help add structure to the cell walls in your heart.

    Hope that was helpful.
