Coconut oil for acne ???

Question

i love virgin coconut oil its great for so many things.. i understand how it can moisterize and help with wrinkles but help with acne ?? how can an oil help with acne ?

Coconut oil naturally has antibacterial and antifungal fatty acids, such as caprylic acid and lauric acid. I think its great for dandruff, and its effect at preventing and removing existing dandruff is likely to be via the inhibition of pro-dandruff organisms on the scalp. So I would have thought equally, it may have some anti-acne effect by inhibiting pro-inflammatory/pro-acne micro-organisms at the skins surface/pore entrance. Its also a great hair softener, can kill head lice and has great moisturising properties. Its great for coooking with, and good for health - for keeping gut fungal organisms at bay. Plus lots more benefits if you go and do the research.

Its worth trying.

oil on the skin turns off the oil excretion on the face and that excreted oil contains toxins encouraging bacteria to cause the acne..

It will make the acne go away as long as the coconut oil is used.

But I would also use Face Hand and body cream once a day at least and wash well before using and use again the next morning (can use it with the coconut oil if you want but just the Face Hand and body cream feels a lot better and more long term prevention.

For quick touch ups of break out some Australian Bush Flower Essences Emergency Essence drops dabbed on works great, but best with the Face Hand and Body Cream.
