Cod4 waiting for response from master server problem ?

hi my cod4 was working perfect but today i installed kaspersky internet sercurity and then after 10 hours i tried cod4 online but when i join refresh to get a server ,no server appear ,it's just say waiting for response from master server .btw there is no problem with my connection ,plz anyone ,thx

Could be Kaspersky blocking it make sure that it hasn't been blocking it

same here as well, I'm in pa right now and the master server is down. it has happened in the past when they update the master server. i have sent activison an email regarding this but i haven't received a response back from them! I'm sure though when the server is back up and running the gaming experience is going to be much better. don't do what i did and uninstall the game because its not the game! amazing on how so many people are affected by this game when its offline. i could only imagine if the United States security programs would crash! it would be nuts here!

Same problem here, a search on the COD 4 Forums leads me to believe the master server has had a major crash and probably won't be back up till tommorow. (Because of Labor Day weekend).
