Code for 2001 Nissan Altima stereo?

Question

my CD player stopped working first then my speakers started making a thumoing noise and finally my stereo stopped working. my speakers still work b/c i can hear beeping when i change the station to make sure. what is wrong? someone said i neede to know a code. is that true and how do i go about entering it. Thank You.

No code is required for your radio. You can have the stereo repaired at a local stereo repair shop or replace it with an aftermarket unit.
