Codec help!?!!??! video

i downloaded a movie that is a torrent file and it says to download a codec thing to watch it. i did that but i still dont get how to watch the movie. i want to make the toreent file into a video. help anyone!?!?! PLEASE!

I am not sure what asked you to get a codec.  If it was the torrent itself, it would be a fake movie and the downloaded codec may be malware.

If your Windows Media Player, or another program on hyour computer, said you needed a codec, then try using the free medial player VLC as it has most codecs installed within it and will play most anything
