i feel really not tired but i cant keep my eyes open (and i dont go to sleep for another 3 hours)

and i cant conestrate or think.

i guess thats why your not supose to drive while taking it?

have you expreinced any of these things?

other things?

what exactly is it???

Codeine is an opiate.  It is made from an opium poppy.  That puts it in the same family of drugs as Opium, Heroin, and morphine.  It is lower potency than any of those, but the side effects can be the same especially if you are not used to it.  It is not unusual to have the symptoms that you are describing.  It can be addictive!  Keep that in mind and use it as directed.  Don't mix it with alcohol - the effects will be exaggerated.

Codine is a narcotic a very mild one.  They probably did not give you straight codine, but probably gave you Tylenol with codine, which is one of the most common drugs.  I gather you must have had some minor surgery of some kind.

Ok, don't get yourself all upset, there is nothing happening to you that is out of place, one of the reasons I won't take the stuff.  Ask for Vicodin next time.  Just tell the doctors that the codine really did in your stomach.  Which is probably the next symptom.  Right now you are just high on the drug. You said you are a teenager and have probably not taken anything before.  Don't worry about the time, what you need most is sleep, as much as you can get.  So go to sleep.  There is a good chance that you may get an upset stomach, that will be from the pill. Don't worry.  This should pass in 12 to 24 hours
