Codemasters reveal official Formula 1 2011 game at E3 Expo – Formula 1 news
The new Formula 1 game “F1 2011” which has been developed by Codemasters similar to the previous year’s version revealed its first impressions at this year’s E3 Expo.
The chief designer of the game, Stephen Hood revealed that the game is all about the multiplayer as F1 2010’s multiplayer feature was not up to the mark. He said since the fans want more online action, Codemasters has developed a very efficient and promising
system for the game’s online multiplayer mode.
Hood claims that the online multiplayer races will have a full grid of 24 cars each which is going to include a minimum of 16 human players while the rest will be controlled by Artificial Intelligence.
The multiplayer of the F1 2010 game on the other hand had a limited number of 12 cars in the mode and one has to admit, properly filling up the grid in the new game will offer a true Formula 1 experience to the fans.
Other than that, the new game will also feature a split screen multiplayer mode which can also be adjusted according to the player’s likings. Users can race against 24 cars on the grid in this mode as well.
On top of that, the game will feature the new rules which have been introduced for the 2011 Formula 1 season including the Kinetic Energy Recovery System. The mode can be used through a boost button which the players can use for a limited amount of time.
The Drag Reduction System and Pirelli are going to be a part of the game as well which would make gaming even more interesting for the fans. In addition, the game will also feature DRS zones for each circuit thereby making racing more exciting and dramatic.
Despite these new features, the career mode of the game is going to be more vibrant as compared to F1 2010 as Hood claims that the fans will now get to “live the life” of an F1 driver.
The game will be initially available for Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC with a version for Wii making its way later.
