Cody Rhodes defeats Daniel Bryan: WWE News
The Friday Night SmackDown featured victory for Dashing Cody Rhodes, who is the mostly hated wrestler by the WWE Universe. Cody defeated the former United States Champion, Daniel Bryan tonight in SmackDown segment at Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Cody Rhodes made his way towards the ring after the first match of Sin Cara and Ted DiBiase. The match was won by The Mexican, Sin Cara, after pin falls. Cody entered the ring with paper bags in his hand. Cody said that WWE Universe should take a deep
breath to forget the defeat of Ted DiBiase. Cody insulted WWE Universe and gave paper bags to hide their faces inside it. Daniel Bryan came out with a huge pop by the WWE Universe. Daniel said that he did not want to interrupt Cody, in fact, he hated to interrupt,
but he was sick of it. It seemed by the attitudes of both that they demanded a challenge match and they locked in it as well.
DiBiase, just after losing from Sin Cara, was there in the ringside with Cody. Bryan treated Cody with a hammer-lock, but Cody hit with an elbow. Cody locked Bryan with an arm-drag and then rolled up, but got two counts only. Bryan recovered and hit
the Leap Frog, then dropped Cody to the floor with a drop-kick. Cody got frustrated and started hitting barriers with kicks.
DiBiase came near to Cody and said him to go to the ringside. When Bryan tried to beat Cody, he was hit with an Irish Whip and Springboard Splash by Cody. Cody distracted the referee, while DiBiase kicked Bryan, taking advantage of the distraction.
After that, Cody pinned Bryan, but got only two counts. Soon Bryan got the momentum and hit a series of kicks on Cody’s chest. Putting Cody into turnbuckle, Bryan hit his trademark move 'Super Hurricarana', but got only two counts.
DiBiase confronted in the match again and grabbed Bryan’s leg. Cody started beating Bryan, but Bryan hit the Suicide Dive on DiBiase. Unfortunately, Bryan’s leg got caught under the ropes that gave an advantage to Cody. He hit his finishing move Cross
Rhodes and pinned for victory.
After the victory, Cody and DiBiase put the paper bag over Bryan’s face like last week.
