I am a native Brummie and have never seen a 'Coffee Bean Café' in Birmingham.

Birmingham City centre does, however, have numerous coffee houses such as Starbucks, Coffee Republic etc.  They are to be found in The Bull Ring Centre, Colmore Row or New Street.

If you fancy a nice cup of coffee in an unsual yet relaxed setting, try the 'Edwardian Tea Rooms' in the Museum and Art Gallery, Chamberlain Square (at the top of New Street, by the Town Hall).  Entrance is free.
