  1. Man, what?? I love coffee so I would keep going there because I wanna get fat on doughnuts.

  2. Fast service, starbucks always seems so slow, and its even worse when employees talk to eachother while wasting every second they can. Encourage your employees to appear concentrated on what they are doing (even though it probably saves no time, it will make people like me feel the service is better) Also, seems to be a lack of my kind of seating. Either there are only huge couches, or small uncomfortable chairs. I hate the feeling to being on a couch in a public place because it makes me feel like i own the place. So, some comfortable single chairs or even a bar-like area is nice. Try not to look like your store is copying starbucks too.

  3. A coffee shop that offers a Good variety of coffee and  good, rich tasting coffee.

LIght music, booths and couches, tables for studying (for college kids or Business- minded people).

    A casual, yet classy atmosphere.

Affordable prices and offer other foods, such as cookies, cakes, doughnuts, muffins, breakfast also lunches, and other 'light' food.

  4. Good fresh dark coffee of course!  Most places don't make it strong enough.  Decent prices.

  5. - wifi

    - nice couches

    - nice customer service

    - music

    - And of course GREAT COFFEE ! lol =]

oh yeah and good pricing .

And you could add sandwiches to the menu for like people on thier lunch break. Like me =]

  6. Good coffee, friendly service, free wifi, and an adults only room where no screaming children are allowed would be my ideal coffee shop (I have yet to find one with an adults only room) And I have one complaint a lot of the times the baristras(or whatever they're called)  always talk to each other but they seem to yell I wish they would whisper

  7. It's the personal things.  Have your baristas each learn 50 customer's names and use them.  Start a loyalty program where customers get their next coffee free after buying 5 drinks.  Sponsor a Little League or AYSO team.  Be the anti Starbucks and make yourself a part of the neighborhood.  And rather than pretentious terms, actually label your drink sizes "Small, Medium and Large" :-)

  8. Good atmosphere, great coffee at fair prices, friendly service and of course internet access.  My daughter attends college in Austin and many of her friends don't pay for internet service at their apartments and go to coffee shops for internet access.....and yes...consume alot of coffee.

  9. fresh coffee and doughnuts/bagels, great servers, and provide free daily papers to read, ( that will make them feel at home) its not all about fancy furniture and stuff.
