hello people.

People who have cognitive impairments, what are they like? Can they talk coherently? Do they have extreme mood swings? can they understand and memorize?

The reason i'm asking is because i want to start a program for people with cognitive impairments, but i'm not sure if it's going to work.

What disabilities do people with cognitieve impairments have and what are they able to do?

  1. Cognitive impairment is a broad description that covers so many symptoms.  The level of disability will be different with each patient, you can't use broad or general terms to label them.

Here's a website with a wealth of information, really too much to list here but easy to understand.

  2. Cognitive impairment would have to do with how they take information in and process it which might, in turn, affect their answers and cause frustration.  Sometimes it's due to auditory issues.

I think you've got a great idea.  Lots more research will be your key to success.
