about a month ago my brother knocked my ps2 onto the floor and ever sense then cogswap hasn't loaded any of my backups and it doesnt load HDXtreme on the 1st try (the only ps2 disk i have) could be the scratches but didnt have a problem till the ps2 was dropped.

How did i did it :

Launch the PS1 Game and click cogswap efl, Cogswap Loads up.

I put a Original PS2 Game : HDXtreme (4.35GB).

Then I press x. (takes ages or 2 trys for it to see it as a ps2 dvd)

Do the slide tool thing

Then I put the Backup : Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 (3.76 GB)

close the tray with slide tool

Then press x again, if it even starts spinning I get a blank screen but the disk spins then ticks a couple times then it spins again, it keeps doing that.

------

More info :

Media Im Using - DVD+R

PS2 Version : V9

Burnt it With : Dvd somethin

it used to work perfectly all13 of my backs ups did acully but now they all go to the black screen

my question is it because of the laser ?.

  1. accualy have you tried cleaning the eye of your ps2? it might have gotten dust on it and basicly cripiling your ps2. try loading origonal ps2 games in it ones if it doesnt work then its the lazor. :'( then try cleaning it and if that doesnt help then th lazer has bit the dust. i would suggest of you know alot about there configuration hardware wise then you could easily buy or find a junk ps(that the lazor has no prob) that is the same version as your fat ps2 and just swap the lazors and bring it back to LIFE ='). but if you dont whant to deal with the hassel then sorry its dead.... well i hope that cleaning it helps you!! cross your fingers!

  2. Man that sux definetly sounds like he knocked something off in the laser area.
