I recently found a coin dating from 1643 which was dated back to the reign of King Charles 1st. It is a half pound and is silver with the image of King Charles 1st on horseback. I am wondering whether this would be worth any money at all? Any ideas?

  1. If I found a coin that dated from 1643 I really would not care what it was worth on the open market I would place it behind glass and display it. Anything from that era will be a collector item. Although I do think there would be a question to its condition.

  2. If it were still legal tender, it would be worth 50p.
