  1. im just guessing but 1/2 because if you toss a coin once, the probability of landing heads is 1/2 so tossing a coin three times would equal 3/6 which reduces to 1/2

  2. 50% chance each time.

  3. (1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) = 1/8

  4. 1/2 X 1/2 X 1/2 = 1/8

    1/8 is your probabilty

  5. (1/2)^3 = 1/8

  6. Assuming the coin is fair, the probability of heads on any given flip is 1/2.

Since each flip is independent (doesn't rely on the previous results), you can multiply the probabilities.

    1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8

  7. = 100%(1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2)

    = 100%(1/8)

    = 12.5%

    Answer: 1/8 or 12.5%

  8. 1/2 is the probability for one head and youre doing it three times so

    1/2 times 1/2 times 1/2= 1/8

  9. 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8

  10. 50/50

  11. 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1 chance in 8

  12. 1 in 8.

Each toss has a 1 in 2 chance of landing on heads.

    1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/8

  13. i think its 1/8

the first time its 1/2, then the next its also 1/2 but you multiply those, then the third, etc.

we did this last year and im pretty sure thats how you work it out.

  14. 1.5/3

  15. 1/8

  16. the question can be translated as:

    (1st time head)and(2nd time head)and(3rd time head)

    =.5*.5*.5

    =.125

remember, in probability 'AND' means * operation

    'OR' means + operation

if the question were head at least one time, then the solution would be:

    ((1st H)AND(2nd H)AND(3rd H)) OR ((1st H)AND(2nd H)AND(3rdT)) OR ...                                   3! = 3*2*1 - 1(TTT combination excluded) = 5 ways

    = (.5*.5*.5) + (.5*.5*.5) + ....              5times

    = .125 * 5

    = .625

hope this clears ur concept of probability

  17. (1/2)^3 = 1/8.
