Here is a few things to give us some more hope( not that we need any)

Dont stop believing

In 1991 a clinton was running for president, a bush was at war with iraq, the giants won the superbowl, and the penguins were down 2-0 in a series where hasek was the backup goalie

True or not??

  1. you have a lot of time on your hands it seems but yeah, those are some weird ironies

  2. Its not a coincidence that the Pens will lose in 5, is it?

  3. That's some spooky coincedences.

I hope the Pens don't lose Malkin. He's the reason the Pens are where they are right now. Whether people want to believe it or not.

IF anyone in the league deserved MVP it was Malkin.

The guy is still not shown the respect he rightfully deserves.

  4. You just blew my f'ing mind. That Clinton won the White House. This Clinton won't even get the party nom barring the complete abandonment of Obama by the super delegates.

If they don't extend Malkins contract they must be retarded lol.  The dude is amazing even though he disappeared a little lately.

Wait a second!!!  The Pens swept the Blackhawks 4-0. I call shenanigans!

  5. i heard that to. Lol yeah like we need anymore hope were back on track now and i agree with your 4-2 prediction.. just think like all they need to do is keep domnating home ice and then whip detroit once away.

  6. Everything David E says----

Also, Malkin better get used to pirogys(sp?),summer in July,Primanti's awesome sammitches,Pirate and Steeler games, bridges, and great people cause he ain't going anywhere!

  7. You do have alot of time on your hands. You a Pens fan? If so GO PENS, so am I!

  8. David E laying down the lay, good call brother.

  9. Well, I'm a Penguins fan but I hate to burst your bubble.  Clinton ran for president in 1992, not 1991.  At this time in 1991 Clinton was still just the govenor of Arkansas and most of America had never heard of him.

Second, the Penguins lost games 1 and 3 to the Northstars.  They were never down 2-0.

Third, Hasek was the backup goalie for the Blackhawks, the team that the Penguins beat in 1992.  In 1991, John Casey was the goalie for the Northstars.  Hasek wasn't even in the NHL yet.

You are correct that the Giants did win the Super Bowl in January of 1991.

And Operation Desert Storm was over by February of 1991.  Most of the American troops had been sent home by the end of March.
