Coincidence or Sony products are made to last a year?

Question

I am getting very sceptical.

First goes my digital mini DV camcorder, just two monts after the 1 year guarantee, it was hardly used!

Then goes my video recorder, again just out of the 1 year guarantee, only used to transfer old tapes into DVD, not overused by any means!

Now goes my MP3 player, in exactly 13 months from time of purchase!

I am never buying a Sony product again!

Its coincidence. You're just unlucky.. although the life of most electronic products these days is woeful.

I remember my Dad had both a TV and Hifi for nigh on 20 years and they both worked impecably even when he replaced them for newer systems.

My Sony laptop still works and its over five years old.
