Coincidence or more?

This is probably going to sound really weird, but I think I'm connected in some way to spiders. Whenever I was little, I put my hand down in the grass and a spider crawled up on it. As I've grown up, I've had a ton more experiences with them, though. One of the largest spiders I've ever seen was actually on a chair that I was sitting on. One time I was sitting on the floor in my room and a spider crawled out from under the bed! Recently, my parents got a new car. It was INFESTED with spiders! I'm not exaggerating about this! There were probably 300 spiders that were very tiny and brown in that car! The majority of them were around me! My sister rarely ever found one but they were all around me! Beyond that weird experience, my bathroom tub is where the majority of spiders are found in my house. Today, one even floated up while I was taking a bath. I had checked for anything in there before I took a bath. If anybody thinks this is a really weird connection or something, please tell me!

  1. have you heard The story of Arachne?

    Arachne~Greek Mythology

Arachne was a young woman from Lydia, sometimes said to be a princess, who offended Athena, and suffered the consequences. Her story helped serve as a warning to all to take care to not offend the gods.

Arachne was gifted in the art of weaving. Not only were her finished products beautiful to look at, but the very act of her weaving was a sight to behold. Nymphs were said to abandon their frolicking to come observe Arachne practice her magic. So remarkable were her works that observers often commented that she must have been trained by the very patron goddess of weaving, Athena herself. Arachne scoffed at this. She was disgusted at being placed in an inferior place to the goddess and proclaimed that Athena herself could not do better than her.

Athena was quite perturbed at Arachne's bold claim, but she decided to give the young woman a chance to redeem herself. She came to Arachne disguised as an old woman and warned her to be careful not to offend the gods, lest she incur their wrath. But Arachne told the old woman to save her breath. She welcomed a contest with Athena, and, if she lost, would suffer whatever punishment the goddess deemed necessary.

The goddess accepted the challenge and revealed her true form. The nymphs who had come to watch Arachne's weaving shrunk back in fear, but Arachne stood her shaky ground. She had made a claim, and she was sticking to it. So the contest began, the mortal at her loom, the goddess at hers. Athena began to weave the scene of her contest with Poseidon for the city of Athens. A beautiful scene developed from the threads, showing Poseidon and the salt water spring, and Athena with an olive tree, gifts to the people who would name Athena as their patron, and their city after her. The bystanders marveled at the goddess' work.

Arachne, for her part, created a tapestry showcasing scenes of Zeus' various infidelities: Leda with the Swan, Europa with the bull, Danaë and the golden rain shower. So exquisite was the mortal's work that the bull seemed lifelike, swimming across the tapestry with a real girl on his shoulders. Even Athena herself was forced to admit that Arachne's work was flawless. (Whether or not Arachne was actually better than Athena is still a mystery.)

Angered at Arachne's challenge, as well as the presumptuousness of her choice of subjects, Athena tore the tapestry to pieces and destroyed the loom. Then she touched Arachne's forehead, making sure that she felt full guilt for her actions. Arachne was ashamed, but the guilt was far too deep for her poor, mortal mind. Depressed, she hanged herself.

Athena took pity on Arachne. She most likely did not expect that Arachne would commit suicide. She brought her back to life, but not as a human. By sprinkling her with the juices of aconite, Athena transformed the woman into a spider, her and her descendants to forever hang from threads and to be great weavers.

it's no happy ending but it's definately a nice story, no?

  2. I'd like to agree with you that spiders are sometimes drawn to you, but I've never heard of anything like that before.

The only scientific explanation I could come up with is that the spiders are, oddly enough, attracted to your pheromones. All our bodies give off an in distinguishing smell that only our subconscious. Spiders have a weird tast I guess.

  3. Pheromones...

    Just pheromones..

People excrete pheromones to impress themselves.Just like neurons. They are what makes you love, sad, happy ! And around you !

Some people just excrete more, and different pheromones.Do you feel anyones feelings change when you come near them ? Probably yes.You may not know, but,if you excrete more pheromones than normal, everything changes for you.

That spiders probably got attracted by your pheromones.

If you reject that you excrete more pheromones than normal, just check it.Go to a doctor when you feel you excrete more pheromones.

Or,it can be where you live.Spiders love where it is dark and wet.You know, basic knowledge of insects.

    P.S I thought spider-queen was Arachna,not Arachne.No offense at all.

  4. its probably the area u live in.. it probaly has lotz of spiders around.. like my new house has its fair share of spiders

  5. you can control an army of spider please don't rule the world

  6. maybe your spider-lady?

  7. Wow that's actually pretty cool. Maybe they like you for some reason or you really do have some sort of connection with them.

  8. There are many situations that can not be explained, And with your dealing with spiders is really one of those un-explainable situation... I am not saying that there is not a reason for these un-explainable happening... But a car full spiders has happen many times before.. If that car was shipped from an over  seas port...... If not then a male and female spider trapped in a car for a long period of time can produce a huge number of spiders........ Like I said there are many ways to explain this situation but are they the correct explanation who knows........... Another thing is that all humans have their own scent that can attract insects maybe your scent attracts spiders............................
