Coke or diet coke??

My class and I will be doing a coke and metos thing and I was wonderin if diet coke goes more higher than regular coke. And also whats the stuff in mentos that makes it up and were can I get more? And finally, doese anyone have a "secret on how to make the BIGGEST and COOLEST way to do this??

Diet Coke works better because of whatever chemical is in diet coke is what reacts with the mentos.  

There is a toy kit that comes with mentos and has a smaller opening that screws on.  The smaller the opening, the higher pressure and higher it will go.

i did that for a class experiment once, and i suggesst you dont use the CANNED Cokes, cuz its hard to put the mentos in it... lol
