I understand coke has caffeine in it, but is it even a comparible amount to coffee? Or does it have very trace amounts and they are just required to label it?

  1. IDK BOTH

  2. coke !

  3. Originally, Coca Cola used trace amounts of cocaine.  When public favor started to run against cocaine (it was legal at the time of the original recipe), the addictive ingredient was changed to caffeine.

Here is a link with information on caffeine content in different drinks:

    http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/caffeine...

Coca Cola has 45 mg of caffeine in a 12 ounce serving.

Coffee has 65-175 mg per 7 ounce serving, depending on the brewing method.

  4. Coke has about 32 mg of caffeine in a 12 oz. can.  Tea about the same.  Black tea has about the same (depends on how strong it is) Black teas have more caffeine.  Green tea has about 15 - 20mg.  Not a lot.  Coffee is the power house a cup of coffee has about 110mg depends on quality of course.  But thats about right.

  5. Coffee has about 5 times the caffeine per volume than Coca-Cola.

Different soft drinks have different amounts, but most have quite a bit more than just a trace amount

  6. It depends if the coffee has ice or coffeemate or something
