Coke zero vs Diet Coke

What is the difference between the 2 sodas?

Coke Zero is designed to taste more like Coca-Cola whereas Diet Coke is not.  The main difference is the type and quantity of sweetener used.  Coke Zero uses a sweeter artificial sweetener, and more of it.

It's mainly marketing, truthfully.  Most men will drink a black-label drink named Coke Zero a lot more willingly than they'll drink anything labeled diet.  The sweeteners are different, for those who have sensitivities or preferences.  Diet Coke already has a following.  Instead of alienating those folks by discontinuing it, the company introduced a second diet cola product with a different look and name -- and sweetener, so we would think there was a real reason for its existence

As already answered, the Zero tastes a lot better (to me) because it is sweetened with Splenda as opposed to Diet Coke which has aspartame. Years past, aspartame was great when compared to Saccharin - anything would be - but it doesn't hold a candle compared to Splenda.  So far Splenda has no reported negatives and no flat after-taste.

I'm not a guy, and I go for the black can too!!

The difference is that Diet Coke does not taste like Coke at all.  Coke Zero was formulated to taste as close as possible to the original Coke.

Coke zero uses " healthier " chemicals ( like Splenda ) Diet coke has aspratame, which, believee it or not, can cause Multiple Sclorosis ( sorry, cant spell ) But then again, alote of gum has aspritam as well.

In my opinion,

Coke Zero is the better choice between the 2.
