When someone hit an exacta or tricefta cold... what does that mean?

it's means that the bettor felt so strong about his wager that he played it straight....1-2....the best way to wager is to box.....say play a 1-2 box for $2.00 either way you win....or a 1-2-3 box for $6.00 or a 1-2-3-4 box for $12.00, if you have $100.00 dollars you can play a 4 horse exacta box on a 8 race card for $96.00 and hope you hit at least a couple to make it a winning day....

hitting it with a straight exacta or trifecta bet

betting it only 1 way...

like you want 1 to win and 2 to come in second. (exacta)

like 1 to win 2 to come in 2nd and 3 to come in third(trifecta)

to box is saying you want 1 and 2 to come in 1-2 or 2-1

and trifecta would be 6 combo's if you play 1-2-3 as long as those 3 come in 1st second and 3rd in no particular order
