  1. l'm getting col war coz of thinking

  2. i agree long question. wikipedia has alot.

after WW2 all the victorious countries ,especially russia, were trying to seize as much as they could. america was scared of the communist ideologies and didnt want it spreading. basically they were threatened by russia's expansion. there was no open war, rather propoganda.

america started churning out heavy arms (they didnt stop after ww2 like other countries), each side developed missles and  improved on technology relating to war.

kennedy? national security? read up on the cuban crisis. why it started, what happened, how it ended etc.

  3. LONG question - instead of waiting for DAYS for someone to answer, type Cold War into your search engine.

This is the most helpful answer you'll get.

  4. I agree.  Start with Wikipedia and check the facts with the sources at the end of the entry.  This is a LONG essay!  You could also check your textbook.

    Make an outline:

1 - end of WW II and positions of the USSR and US/western Europe

2 - development of the Soviet satellite countries

3 - proliferation of nuclear bomb capabilities

4 - Korean War, how it started

5 - Vietnam War, how it started

    6 - Cuban Missile Crisis

that should get you started.  The last part will be perestroika under Gorbachev in the 1980s.
