People have always pointed out to me that I've often got cold hands and feet. Could that be a symptom of anything? (say there were other symptoms, too - not just that)..

  1. i have that too

apparently if you smoke pot it's common because pot limits the circulation to your hands and feet

i don't smoke, i did a while ago, but my cold hands and feet came back >:[

  2. low iron maybe

  3. just something you were born with.,

if youve been like that forever its just something about you

  4. maybe

    poor circulation

for cold hands maybe Raynauds syndrome

  5. It sounds like you probably have poor circulation. I tend to be the same way. I am also Anemic, low on iron, it may be worth checking into with your doctor. Being Anemic can be very dangerous if not treated. Good luck to you.

  6. Anemic.  A doctor will probably. prescribe an iron supplement

  7. you might have bad circulation, do you smoke?

  8. Well, yes, there are some things.  The one that comes to mind first is Raynaud's phenomenon.  This is a situation of circulation, where arteries constrict and limit the blood circulation to certain areas.  As well as hands and feet, it can affect ears and nose, too.  Also, it can happen with stress as well as with exposure to cold temperatures.

If you have color changes in your hands or feet when the coldness comes on, and if there is a numbness or prickly feeling when they warm up, RP may be something you could look into.

  9. I dont think its anything to worry about.

I have cold feet and hands all the time.

    Maybe you're underweight?

  10. Could be that you just don't have very good circulation. My mum's lips go blue when she's cold and I nearly always have cold feet.

  11. Could be a sign of bad blood circulation. It's due to the blood going to more of the necessary organs. Babies are like this which is why they have little gloves and booties (bless them).

Don't think its anything to worry about. Any concerns though don't take my word for it and see your Doctor instead.

  12. If you are oter wise in good health? Some humans are just hard wired to  cool thier body like a dog has ears , surface areas stay cooler. Now there is a possibilty of poor circulation,if there is discoloration in the skin surface ? I would ask my doctor.A sure sign is if this is causing you discomfort? How long has it been present? Are you taking any medicines that be affecting.I hope this gives you some insight?

  13. definitely sounds like raynaud's phenomenon. i have it too, it is a circulatory disorder, a bit like an allergic reaction to the cold. when someone else gets cold, the capillaries that carry blood to the extremities narrow. but when it happens to a person with raynauds the capillaries practically shut off meaning hardly any blood gets through. i have known this to be extremely painfull and unfortunately i get it all over my body. i was advised blood pressure tablets could help so speak to to ur doctor about it. hope this helps.

  14. i have the same problem, and so do like two of my friends. are hands and feet are always like so cold it's like we just stuck them in ice. as far as all three of us know it's nothing.

  15. It's possibly raynaud's syndrome, I have it. You're more susceptible to the cold for circulatory reasons. It's nothing to worry about, just means you have to wear gloves in cold weather. You can cause yourself problems in later life if you smoke too.

  16. if you're really thin it might just be caused by that..

or there's a condition called raynaud's, where your hands and feet get really cold easily, usually people's fingers can get quite painful and go white in the cold- its not areally bad condition to have so don't worry. my friend used to take gingko to ease the symptoms.

or it could just be bad circulation, which lots of tall people have..

    good luck anyway!

  17. bad circulation...stretch more often.

  18. You have poor circulation, it is probably genetic, the same thing happens to me.

  19. Mine always are, too.  My doctors say there is nothing wrong with my circulation so they are not concerned about it.  If you are really worried bring it up at your next physical, your doctor can check you out to determine if there is a larger cause.

  20. There is a huge list of reasons causing cold hands and feet....BUT its a very common condition. One of the most common causes is Stress.

well don't bother for the reasons just make effort to increase the micro circulation. Exercise your fingers and hands regularly.
