Question:

Cold remedies for a lost voice?

My voice isn't gone yet, but its on its way out. Every single time i get even a tiny bit sick, my voice is the first thing on me to go. I usually lose it 2-3 times a year with a cold/virus.

The doctor constantly tells me, "plenty of rest and fluids" but that never works for me. Especially since i work in customer service and rest does not help my voice.

I am guilty of taking Amoxicillin out of the cupboard (which helps alot!)

What are some easier ways to stop this sore throat and scratchy voice from happening over and over again?....and right now!

  1. i find that water helps my throat too, but i am drinking room temp water at the moment. Also i am a Customer Service rep and it sucks not being able to use my voice, luckily it's the weekend so I'm just typing everything i would normally say.
I am trying to research about what's good for laryngitis online, but so far everyone just says keep your throat warm and have honey and hot water, what about medicine, isn't there anything i can take as a quick pill fix?
