what does she mean by audition?

I was a Manager of a Cold Stone Creamery in Utah!!!

When you need to come in for an audition, it means you need to show the manager that you can preform in front of a room full of customers.  

The cool thing about this is you get tips for your performance.  So let's say that you make $5 an hour.  If you do a good job, a customer puts a dollar in the tip jar.  For that dollar you will sing a little jingle thanking him/her for the tip.  At the end of your shift, you split up the cash.  It was not unusual for my employees to make an average of an extra $5 an hour JUST from the tips.  That's $10 an hour for making ice cream.

WARNING: Working at Cold Stone, you will work.  You will be running and working your bottom off.  But it is a really fun job.  Many times Managers will offer incentives for upselling.  Just do your best, sing your loudest and get paid for it.

I wouldn't worry about it, its probably just their word for interview...They probably just want to make sure that you will work well with the team they have there, etc. Good luck!

Coldstone Creamery personnel "perform" a little show, sort of like a "chef" in a Japanese steakhouse, entertaining the customer as much as serving the "food."  They want to see how you can contribute to making the shop a fun place for customers to come.
