What temperature more or less does Cold water regulator mean?

I have a Mares Proton 42 she dives reg and octo.

  1. Cold water means anything close to freezing.  A reg rated for cold water has a sealed first stage, and a second stage that has small changes to make it less prone to freezing up, creating a free flow situation.
