Coldwinters expected to upset Brian Who in Clonmel Hospice Support Group Handicap Hurdle
Brian Who is currently leading the betting card following his decent performance this year. However, the five-year-old does not have an absolute chance of grabbing the winning cheque in the Clonmel Hospice Support Group Handicap
Hurdle, taking place at Clonmel on Thursday, May 10th.
Coldwinters, who is full of spirit following a classy win last time out, is going to take a real test of Brian Who’s abilities. One can easily expect the nine-year-old gelding to spring up a surprise and claim the top spot.
The punters do not have much time to make their moves, as the party is about to begin. The plan is to kick off the show at 20:10 GMT. A cash prize of €4,830 will be given to the ultimate champion.
Taking part in the competition are: Brian Who, Coldwinters, Bee Fallon, Arguidos, Hold Em Cowboy, Moving On, Credit Box, Ok My Friend, Saddleoncemore, Sun Fisher, Twin Plan, Baresi, Chasers Chance, Pleasure Craft, Milano Bay,
Bestseller, Newbury Oscar and D´tani.
After suffering a terrible tumble at the start of this year, Brian Who came up with a decent effort last time out. Edward Cawley’s trainee displayed a fine show all the way through, but failed to deliver a winning performance.
As a result, he ended up third in the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Down Royal.
On the other hand, Coldwinters is brimming with confidence following a recent strike. At the start of this month, the 9-year-old did a fabulous job, seizing the top place in the Greville Arms Hotel Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Under D. J. Condon, Mrs Gillian Callaghan’s trainee dominated the affair from start to finish, sealing the top rank by ½ a length. Let’s see whether he carries forward his good work to upset the proceedings.
Bee Fallon is another to consider. In the mid of last month, the seven-year-old seized the runner-up place in the Tramore Racecourse Members Club Handicap Hurdle.
The stats show that it is going to be a close contest between Brian Who and Coldwinters. The latter gets our vote, because he is full of confidence after a fresh victory. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
