  1. This has been a very unreliable furnace for us. We had one installed in 10/2007 and have had warrenty work done twice. Once for the heat and once for the AC. We are now on our 3rd failure, the same apparent fault as the first failure. 3 red; stuck open pressure switch.

  2.  the rheem is only 92% afue 5% less then the coleman and only adjust in 5% incriments its not even comparable to the york or coleman they are the best furnace on the market hands down

  3. The control board in the Coleman Modulating furnace does match it's firing rate to the amount of heat loss at any given outside temp. It uses 100 stages to ramp the heat up or down to match the heat loss. There is nothing lackluster about this product. Maybe the Rheem or Ruud uses a Old School timing sequences requiring a top of the line T-Stat. The Coleman measures the inside and out side temps 60 times every minute. And it constantly makes minute minor adjustments to as fine as .65 of 1 percent of gas flow.
Johnson Controls makes the Coleman and York and own both companies. It's truly a modulating furnace and has established the technology since entering the residiential market with the acquisition of York and Coleman in 2005 and the introduction of the industries first truly modulating furnace.I have one and consider it one of the best purchases I ever made. My temps are all the same on every level of my 3 floor home. Even heat in the basement; same temp as my main level.
It's a fine product if not the best out there.
