Wales manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Bellamy-c9471 into resuming his international career, but said that the doors were still open for the veteran midfielder.
The 33-year old, who made a switch from Liverpool to Cardiff City this summer, has not featured in any of the Dragons World Cup Qualifiers so far.
His last appearance for Wales came in a 2-0 defeat in a friendly match against Bosnia-Herzegovina in August.
The prolific midfielder has represented his country in 70 matches since making his international debut in 1998. During this period, he went on to score 19 goals.
Wales suffered a 2-0 defeat against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 on Tuesday, which pushed them down to the second last place in Group A.
Bellamy’s presence could help the Dragons get their qualifying campaign back on track. However, the player has been marred by a knee injury which has limited his playing time on the field.
When asked if he plans on including the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 player in his squad, Coleman revealed that he is not willing to ‘beg’ any player to represent their country.
However, he said that the door was still ajar for Bellamy to make a return to the team’s fold and it was solely his decision to make.
“I don't see why I should, as the manager of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041, beg any player to play for their country,” the manager told the reporters.
“If Craig wants to come and play for us and be involved, the door's open and he knows that… For the four games so far we haven't had him, which is difficult because he's still a good player. Cardiff are playing this weekend, I don't know whether he's fit
or not.”
Wales will take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 in their next World Cup qualifier.
The 42-year old went on to state that he is not willing to keep too much store with Bellamy’s availability in their coming games, and will look to make the most out of the current squad that he has at his disposal.
