Wales manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Coleman has revealed that he isn’t going to oppose the players who chose to represent the Great Britain squad in the Olympics, despite him being disappointed with their decision to do so.
The Welsh FA and Coleman had urged the Wales players to not make themselves available for  the upcoming Olympics. However, despite his claims Joe Allen, Aaron Ramsey, Neil Taylor and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Bellamy-c9471, have all been included in the final squad list.
These players went on to admit that they were more than willing to play for the team, despite what the FAW and Coleman had suggested.
The manager is a little annoyed by the players decision, but has wished them the best of luck, as he admitted he respects their decision to play in the Olympics.
"Ideally our boys wouldn't be going, they'd be resting. But they've gone, there's nothing we can do. There was nothing we could have done at the start.”
"We've never changed our stance. I have spoken with the players, they know my feelings.”
"There's no way I was going to say to the players 'if you go to play for Team GB, I'm not picking you'.”
"We don't have a big enough pool of players to be that feisty and it's not the right way to do things anyway.”
"I respect all the guys that want to play. It doesn't mean I have to like it because I've got to do what's right for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gareth-Bale-c14422 was also set to be a part of the GB team, but an injury is preventing the midfielder from making the trip.
Coleman isn’t too concerned about the attacker’s health, as he feels he’s going to be up and running in the near future.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Aaron-Ramsey-c3065 had recently gone on to comment on the situation and claimed that the players in the squad were old enough to make up their mind over what they wanted to do. As a result, it seems like the Welsh FA and their national team manager can only make
suggestions, but at the end of the day, the players are going to decide what they plan on doing.
