Colin Edwards appreciates the performance of his team at the Motegi circuit – MotoGP news
Colin Edwards of NGM Mobile Forward Racing managed finishing the Japanese Grand Prix at the 13th position.
He was ranked as the second best Claiming Rule Team rider at the Motegi circuit in 2012. He told that he faced some problems at the circuit yet he managed finishing the race in a desirable manner.
He told that the race started good and he was feeling great with his bike. He added that the bike was responding well however he had lost his knee pad which restricted him from putting his knee down. He then used the Bootcamp and used his body afterwards.
Edwards said, “The race started good and I saw Espargaró was right there. I started pushing and felt good. Four laps in, I went to put my knee down in the last corner and it nearly ripped me off the bike and I looked down on the straight and I saw I had
no knee pad. It just fell off, I don’t remember hitting a curb or anything.”
He told that he found it difficult riding without the knee cap because he rides using his knee. Besides, he said that he thought pulling out from the race but however he managed it to the finish line.
“We had a small issue with electronics during the race but overall the package is getting a little better. Thanks to my team, they’ve done a great job over the weekend,” he added.
In addition, the NGM Mobile Forward Racing rider told that he faced some problems with the electronics of his bike but it has improved in comparison with the past. Furthermore, he thanked his team for their efforts in making the bike competitive for the
Japanese circuit.
He managed finishing the Japanese GP on the 13th position after starting from the 16th grid. The finish at the 13th position ranks him as the second best CRT rider over the Motegi circuit for the current season. The CRTs normally compete among themselves
to edge their CRT opponents.
Let’s see how Edwards finishes at the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix scheduled at the Sepang circuit on October 21, 2012.
