Colin Kolles hoping for better results from Hispania Racing Team – Formula 1 news
Hispania Racing Team’s Colin Kolles has recently stated that he is hoping for better results from his team and he expects them to finish at least in the 10th place in the constructors’ standings ahead of their closest rivals Team Lotus and Virgin
Racing Team.
“It's always difficult to fully evaluate a newcomer. Daniel arrives with a strong background of 55 podiums in his short career which is very promising. Daniel received an unusual and nice birthday gift on July 1st 2011 and was able to make it to his first
F1 Grand Prix drive,” he told the media.
The team has not been able to perform better than both Team Lotus and VRT up until now but since they have improved noticeably now, they are hoping for the best possible results in the near future especially since they have a talented driver like Daniel
Ricciardo by their side.
Other than that, he talked about the teams other two drivers as well and stated that the team has a variety of drivers. Each of them offer a different sort of influence as a result of which, the team is improving and learning quite quickly.
“Narain Karthikeyan has the widest experience of different categories which is very useful. Vitantonio Liuzzi is our experienced driver who will complete his 74th F1 Grand Prix at Spa. He is a really good fighter behind the wheel with a passionate temperament,”
he added.
HRT became a part of the sport in 2010 and since then, they have not been able to secure a single point just like their rivals. These 3 new teams on the Formula 1 grid have been growing and scoring better results at each race but still they are way behind
the rest of the Formula 1 teams on the grid and they must improve in order to compete for positions in the constructors’ standings more effectively.
Nevertheless, the upcoming race is expected to take place at the Spa-Francorchamps as the Belgian Grand Prix where Daniel Ricciardo is expected to compete for the fourth Formula 1 grand prix of his career.
