Hispania Racing Team team principal Colin Kolles has said that the his team is in much better position at the moment as compared to the start of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Kolles added that he is sure they will see an interesting grand prix in Abu Dhabi, which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The Spanish squad principal discussed the team’s performance in the ongoing season so far. He mentioned that they have improved in terms of performance throughout the 2011 F1 season until now. In addition, he stated that recently held Indian race weekend
has been positive for them, as their drivers finished the race by making some progress.
Kolles commented, “The team's performance has improved throughout the season and the last races have been particularly positive for us. We certainly are in a much better position than we were eight months ago and I hope that we will continue this way until
the end.”
On the other hand, the team driver Vitantonio Liuzzi stated that after lending his F111 car to Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan for the 2011 Indian Grand Prix, he is really looking forward to getting back into the action in the upcoming race weekend at the
Yas Marina Circuit.
Liuzzi added, “After lending my car to Narain for the Indian Grand Prix, I'm really looking forward to getting back into the action in Abu Dhabi. I'm positive coming into it because in India the car appeared to suit the track well and our pace was good in
comparison to our rivals.”
The Italian driver did not take part in the Indian race, as the team had already confirmed Karthikeyan for the Grand Prix in the mid of the season.
Daniel Ricciardo and Karthikeyan were present at the Buddh International Circuit in the Indian race weekend for HRT.
After starting the race from the 23rd position on the grid, Karthikeyan finished the Grand Prix in the 17th spot, while his teammate Ricciardo came at the 18th place in the final race classifications in India.
Let’s see how Liuzzi and Ricciardo perform in the last two rounds of the ongoing season, which will take place at the Abu Dhabi and Brazil racetracks.
