Colin Tizzard unable to make a decision on Cue Card
Veteran trainer, Colin Tizzard, has revealed that there is still some uncertainty over which event Cue Card will take part in over the next few months. The final decision could be taken before the end of this month.
Cue Card is a spectacular performer and his performances over the years have been exceptional. He has maintained a very good winning percentage, which means that he is capable of challenging the best in the business at the moment. He enjoyed a pretty good
time in 2012 and started this year on a positive note too.
The seven-year-old gelding started off his career in 2010 and caught the attention of everyone after some splendid performances at different venues. He was victorious in his first four outings, but failed to continue his winning streak for a longer period.
In his most recent race, the talented challenger was given the highest odds for victory and he did not disappoint his fans at all. Despite running in difficult conditions, he stormed to the top spot comfortably by six lengths. He will be aiming to repeat
such performances with consistency over the next few months.
Overall, the son of King´s Theatre has participated in 15 events, winning 8 of them. In addition to that, he finished as a runner up on four occasions, which shows that he doesn’t like settling for lower positions.
Although he will be roaring to give a tough time to his rivals, his team has not come up with any decision yet.
Tizzard said on Sunday: “We're still no closer to making a decision, we don't need to be yet. His owners Bob and Jean Bishop are coming down to stay for a night the week after next and we might decide then.”
He added, “Things would certainly have been a lot tougher for Cue Card had Captain Chris not blundered away his chance at the penultimate fence in the Grade 1 Ascot Chase, but you would be hard pressed to say he would definitely have been beaten and, in
terms of this season's form, he deserves his prominent position in the Ryanair betting.”
Cue Card’s fans will definitely be looking forward to see him in action once again anytime soon.
