hi, we just moved house, and i am finally going to do what i have always wanted to do - collage my wall. i want to cover one wall with a collage, of like dance posters, sheet music, pics of my friends, pictures i've taken and mementos like timetables and programmes etc.

however. we're soon moving again, and mum doesnt want me to damage the walls by gluing the papers to it - how can i make the collage over the entire wall, without gluing to the actual wall?

  1. like i told someone else...you can tape all the posters and pictures together from the back and tack them along the ceiling and the floor. That will put very few holes in the wall and you can just untack it and roll it up.

  2. Decoupage plywood sheets and anchor to wall for easy removal to take with you. Whjen moving dont forget to protect your pieces from damage during moving.

Plywood sheets 4x8 or? (which can be cut at store to varying sizes and simply mounted with proper hardware to walls for easy removing.

A good primer (water based kilz) I allow dry and apply a second coat.

Modpodge is what I use,for a large project this may be costly.

Use a brayer or a bone folder to press out wrinkles and air bubbles(very important)

You can use your decoupage medium or glue as a final coat, or you can use, polyurethane, acrylic spray etc.

dry sponge and a pan and water can be asset

I left a link to assist you in your posible project.
