Collecting Butterfly Help!!?

I dont want monarchs but everything else is good. Where do I look??

  1. Look for plants that have tubular shaped flowers.  I have a "firebush" that has numerous orange and red flowers.  Mints, milkweed, lantana, and other small flowers will attract butterflies.  Do you have a butterfly net, pinning and spreading boards, pins, and containers to store your collection?  Check some insect identification books for information on how to prepare and mount your butterfly speciments.
