ok let me explain i went to AC with my friends and I'm only 20 so I just sat and watched my friends play hold em' after they got drinking one of them gave me like $50 in chips and I played for a bit got up a little then they decided to leave so i took my chips and gave them to one of my friends without anyone seeing so they could cash out. we got our money and left no one said a word. What would have happened if they found out I wasn't 21? is that a crime?

  1. People do get arrested four underage gambling in AC and the penalty is up to 6 months in jail and $1000 fine although I expect they don't throw the book at you like this.  Casinos will call the cops though who will take you away to jail.

You only have to be 18 to gamble at an offshore online casino on the other hand.

  2. If you are under age they can maybe not arrest you but it can get the casino in trouble plus they can withhold the funds if you are not of legal gambling age.

I all depends on the particular state you are in .

  3. if you are 20 they will just cash you out and ask you to leave unless you hit a jackpot or something, then its really up to the people on  the floor.  They are more concerned with you drinking since they get harsh penalties for serving alcohol to under age people.  Some places its legal to gamble at 18 but since they serve drinks on the floor for free you must be 21.

I went to foxwoods casino a few times when i was 19 and 20 because a lot of my friends really liked to gamble.  personally i don't gamble much but anytime i was asked for my ID i never said, oh i'm under age i just said i didn't have one on me at the time and was asked to cash out and leave.  I guess my answer assumes you never actually show them you are under 21.  as long as you aren't drinking they won't bother to try to search you and bring you to a separate room and call the police.  just don't argue or make a scene.

  4. If they found out that you were not 21, the casino could refuse to pay you; kick you out; and also in NJ you can be arrested.  Most often times, for small amounts, you will not be carded. But if you had hit a jackpot over $1200, on a slot machine, you would not have been paid.  For hand-pays (jackpots) they ask for ID to verify your address and your age!

  5. well if what a big payout  where they have to collect taxes they will check your ID..

amoe places will just refuse to pay off if your under 21 and ask you to leave.and not come back until your of age..if you come back again to the same place and continue you more than likely will be arrested for tresspassing and banned from that casino
