and most importantly drug testing. While how it will be affecting the White Sox in the near future.
Drafting Amateur Players:
Drafting new and amateur players for the biggest baseball league in the world is someway a very important part of the new CBA. It clearly states the rules and new methods of bringing a new player into the baseball world.
The Major League’s current commissioner Bud Selig has set a new age of 21 for a certain player who is eligible to be drafted as amateur by any MLB team. Before this age no player will join any franchise.
In the CBA, this refers to rule-4 draft which has different guidelines now and will be implemented after the approval of this draft by all of MLB’s players. This is also likely to happen that no team is going to raise their concern over the new CBA and will
be approved in the next few days most probably before the next Spring Training session. Before
announcing the new CBA, Commissioner Selig consulted with many top executives of the league and gave extra input on amateur draft as every team send scouts to colleges and schools in order to find the best young players. This new condition of defining the
age is very significant when the new season will be started next year and teams are authorised not to pick players as amateur draft under the age of 21.
