Question:

College Algebra Trig (CAT) review?

Simplifying using only positive exponents:

1. (16(x^2)y)^(3/4)

2. [(1/(x^-2)) + (4/((x^-1)(y^-1))) + (1/(y^-2))] ^(-1/2)

3. [0.5(2x+5)^(-3/2)]/(3/2)

I'm in Calculus this year--and this stuff is /supposed/ to be review--but I somehow don't remember how to do any of those problems.

Thanks to anyone who can help. :)

  1. Hi Cal I student here too :-D

    1. 8x^6/4y^3/4  That whole thing whatever it is, is under 3/4

    2. 1/(x^2+4xy+y^2)^1/2   Remember x^-1? That goes right at the bottom

    3. 1/ (3*(2x+3)^3/2)
